15.11.2017: Die Laptops sind angekommen!
Inzwischen ist es in einer abenteuerlichen Aktion gelungen, die sieben „women-empowerment“-Stipendiatinnen in Sierra Leone mit Laptops auszustatten: die Laptops wurden in Deutschland von hier akquirierten Spendengeldern mit Unterstützung von Nicolas Aschoff gekauft, von der Firma Kottmeyer nach London transportiert und anschließend von Miriam Mason-Sesay von der Partnerorganisation „educaid“ nach Sierra Leone gebracht und den Stipendiatinnen übergeben.
Welche Bedeutung diese Laptops für die Stipendiatinnen in Sierra Leone haben, wird anhand ihrer „thank you notes“ ersichtlich:

I promise that your resources will not go to waste and to use the lap top in the right way and take good care of it since I cherished it so very much.“
